What is Ambient Wonder?

Ambient Wonder is a community of people looking to explore spiritual truth through alternative worship. As it is part of the Norwich Christian Meditation Centre, there is always space for contemplation, but also for many other forms of expression and creativity.

We aim to use all our senses and create space for questions and 'wonderings' in order to challenge and enlarge our understanding of God. We believe that every person is on a spiritual journey and we can learn from others, so we encourage everyone who is interested to get involved in putting the events together – there is no hierarchy and we take the issue of 'power' seriously so as to make sure we are all empowered to connect with God, using the gifts and creativity we have been given.

 

 

We meet two weeks before the event to plan together eating pizza and wine – it's relaxed, informal and fun while releasing us to be creative and thoughtful. Everyone who is interested in the theme or topic can be part of the planning: there is no pressure to do anything at the event if you don't want to. It's useful to have lots of different perspectives and input from many sources. There's also no assumption that you'll come to every event just because you've come to a planning meeting!
